Interfaith Works MD

At Interfaith Works, formerly known as Community Ministry of Montgomery County, we are focused on helping our neighbors: people who live in poverty in one of the most affluent communities in the country. Founded in 1972, our programs include homeless shelters and services, housing for families and individuals, mentoring, clothing centers, vocational services and emergency support programs that provide assistance to individuals and families who have a hard time making ends meet in our high cost community. We also educate and bring together thousands of youth, seniors, and members of congregations and civic groups to give voice and seek solutions to the issues of poverty in our community.

Our variety of programs provide not only basic needs but also a hand up to our struggling neighbors. Case management and supportive services are built-in to our program models to make sure that we are equipping those we serve with the tools they need to achieve self-sufficiency in the long-term.
