American Lung Association in New York NY
On July 1, 2008, the American Lung Association of New York State and the American Lung Association of the City of New York consolidated to form the American Lung Association (ALA) in New York. Now in its second century, the American Lung Association in New York is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We have many programs and strategies for fighting lung disease. Among these are: asthma (Open Airways For Schools); Tobacco and Tobacco Against Teens Use (TATU); Freedom From Smoking Clinics; COPD and lung health; Environmental health; advocacy; and the lung helpline. The ALA also offers multicultural programs and communication programs.
