Martin Truex Jr. is “hooked on helping” and dedicated to positively impacting the lives of children in need.
Martin Truex Jr. grew up in a small town in New Jersey working on a clam boat for his father's family-owned seafood business while he polished his skills as a driver on go-kart tracks. Truex made his first NASCAR Nationwide Series start in 2001 abd clinched the Nationwide Series Championship in both 2004 and 2005. In 2009 Truex drove the #56 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing. With several top ten finishes, and one Chase showing, Martin finally drove to victory once more at the Sonoma race 2013. Martin now drives the #78 Chevy for for the Furniture Row.
Martin has always felt extremely fortunate to be in his position, the one thing that matters the most is to give back; that is why he created the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation in 2007.
"I am making it my personal mission to make a positive impact on the lives of kids who are in need and less fortunate." - Martin Truex Jr.
