Jason Dufner works to provide financial assistance to deserving individuals, organizations, and community groups; whether the need is a result of a natural disaster, catastrophic event, disease, illness, or other unexpected event.
The main objective of the Jason Dufner Foundation is based upon Jason and Amanda Dufner’s notion that the fortunate should assist the less fortunate in times of need and distress.
At the onset, Jason and Amanda chose to fight hunger as one of their major causes. Through the Tour Wives Association of the PGA Tour, Amanda was fortunate to work with the Blessings in a Backpack program, which services cities all over the United States. She felt a strong affiliation with the program and believed it was a great fit for their foundation.
The Blessings in a Backpack program provides school children participating in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Meal Program with a bag of easy-to-prepare and ready-to-eat foods for the weekend. The Dufners' goal is to combat an issue that affects more than 20 million children in this country alone, specifically, in Lee County where they live. They look forward to helping more schools in the area.
