David Nelson works to empower orphans of the world to find their true identity with the cultivation of families, orphan care and stewardship.

David Nelson is currently a wide receiver for the New York Jets. Prior to joining the Jets he played for the Buffalo Bills. It was during his time with the Bills that David and his brothers took a trip to Haiti that changed their lives. They saw the need for orphan care and through their foundation, i'mME, they have begun to feed the need.

When David is not on the football field, he's on a dirt field in Haiti, giving the youth all he has. His endless love and devotion to the fatherless is not only inspirational, but it comes from a place of sincere faith. David believes in the future of Haiti, and that belief will make believers all across the world.

He honors the strength, resilience, and joy of the orphan children by bringing people to Haiti to encounter them on a personal basis, offering an opportunity for these children to be sponsored. David also provides each individual orphan child with the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs necessary for them to walk confidently in their identity and to become thriving members of society. The Foundation partners with local churches, schools, and businesses to help rebuild the structure of Haiti and ensure a bright future for the children under their care.
